Homebase have recently introduced a new Dulux Eco paint point of purchase display. The green packaging stands out when merchandised as a complete bay and the side fins help to differentiate the bay from their other paints. A colour-sample swatch graphic helps the shopper with product selection at eye level, surrounded by sample pots for customers to take home and try. Good to see a store with well stocked literature as well.
It will be interesting to see how shoppers respond to an environmentally focused paint, rather than a convenient, one coat/odourless/quick dry proposition.
Our Verdict: 7/10 Dulux, colour blocking helps to increase stand-out on shelf, printed formats could be better suited/proportioned to the shelf.
