Wandering around Birmingham and London this week, I was intrigued to see how the different phone companies were communicating Christmas cheer in their windows. Here’s what I found…
Mobile Phone Window POS – Christmas 2011
Carphone Warehouse – Two sad snowflakes peeked out between sales posters in this window. Minimalism can be stylish when applied correctly, this just looked like an after thought.

O2 – A row of corporate blue parcels filled the bottom of the O2 window, with a brace of price promotion posters to entice people to buy for Christmas, slightly more festive than Carphone Warehouse but not much…

Orange – a silhouette window vinyl of Christmas trees is fitted to the bottom of the Orange window which is filled with a headphone offer otherwise. Yet another after thought here.

Vodafone – A promotion based around unwrapping a smartphone fills Vodafone’s window. A white bauble window vinyl is the only festive imagery on show.
This appears to be a rather lacklustre Christmas for the phone companies, with little sense of occasion!
