My first job as Creative Director at HRG 16 years ago was to raise our profile. No sweat. Within 12 months, we’d won our first Cream and IPM awards. Pretty soon after that I was asked to help judge the IPM awards, eventually sitting on both UK and international panels.
I continued to work with IPM by completing the Creative Module of their Diploma, and was proud to be one of its first Distinctions. When the new HRG was born in 2004, I was lucky enough to be invited to be part of the Board, and now I always have one eye on our future growth.
But no matter how things change, they stay the same in some respects. I have never lost – and will never lose – my huge passion for creativity and the understanding that attention to detail must be combined with a wider knowledge of brands, retailers and shoppers to get the best results.
In my spare time, I love to get as muddy as possible running around fields training for obstacle course races.
