Kraken required travellers to join them on their exploration vessel to the deepest depths, where it is said the beast resides and watches over the rarest of treasures.
We targeted passengers at Frankfurt airport with mysterious geo-location video ads on Facebook and Instagram. We also created an immersive 360° video played through a VR periscope. The display enticed shoppers to peek through the periscope to Seek Out the Kraken lurking in the ocean depths. Participants were then invited to a tasting area to sample the rum.
Altogether it made a big impact on customers and sales, which increased by an impressive 400 percent.
